This is the official Tinny Rally YouTube channel. The Tinny Rally is an expedition-format Rally on the Murray River.

It’s a multi-day, self-supported river expedition combining remote bush camping, long river legs, and legendary river nights — run by the team that created Tinny Rally.

Each rally sees teams of two in up to 100 boats (limited to 5m and 60hp) travel 726 kilometres downstream from Mildura to Mannum over seven days, through some of the most remote sections of the Murray River.

Crews are completely self-sufficient, carrying all required equipment, refuelling and resupplying along the way, and camping at riverbank locations each night.

Inspired by historic expeditions like the Camel Trophy and the Leyland Brothers’ 1964 tinny journey, Tinny Rally blends self-reliance, problem-solving, and strong camaraderie. Organisers run overland mechanical recovery support and sweep boats to keep the expedition moving.
