Piotr Owerko is currently head of digitization and development at Aspekt Laboratorium Sp. z o.o. (Poland) and an assistant professor at the University of Bielsko-Biała (Poland). He is a certified member of the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers and recognized researcher in the field of road bridges design, testing and analysis. During and after receiving his M.S. (2009) and the Ph.D (2015) degrees in civil engineering from the Silesian University of Technology, he worked full time as an on-site engineer (mainly Incrementally launched bridges), as an in-situ load testing specialist of bridges, and as bridge designer. In recent years, he combines these responsibilities and experiences with the python back-end development of web software for structural engineers.
