In conjunction with his first solo museum exhibition, "Formulating a Plot," Miami-based artist Adler Guerrier discussed his work with contemporary art historian and critic Elvan Zabunyan.
Zabunyan delved into the artist's practice through her research interests in postcolonial theories, cultural studies and black diaspora reflected in contemporary art. Guerrier's work practice takes on subjects such as the flâneur, radical movements of the 1960s, African-American history and Miami's urban environment.
Art Talk: Elvan Zabunyan in Conversation with Adler Guerrier was held at Pérez Art Museum Miami on December 11, 2014.
