The Bioinformatics Centre (BIC) at IIIT Allahabad has been setup with the support of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology to create a state-of-art facility for big data analytics of large scale genomics and proteomics data. The Bioinformatics Centre is equipped with state of the art infrastructure that include a HPC Facility dedicated towards quality training in the fields of big data analytics, development of various bioinformatics tools, molecular modelling and MD-Simulation. The Centre focuses on organizing workshops, hands-on sessions, short term courses and webinars on various tools and techniques related to Bioinformatics with special emphasis on genomics and proteomics data analysis.
