Info
This Youtube channel has been set up by the EAMENA project as part of the 'Training in Endangered Archaeology Methodology with Middle East and North African Heritage Stakeholders' programme, funded by the British Council's Cultural Protection Fund.
The EAMENA project's focus is on using aerial photography and particularly satellite imagery as a tool for monitoring and protecting archaeological sites. The videos posted here are designed to help spread the skills necessary for using EAMENA methodology as widely as possible across the region.
With this in mind, we are attempting to produce Arabic subtitles for all videos. We use only open source software in all of our tutorials (e.g. Google Earth Pro and QGIS), which means that anyone around the globe can quickly learn how to use the free sources of satellite imagery to monitor the condition of archaeological sites.
