Hi, 'm Jamie Edwards from Write On with Jamie, and I'm here to take the guess-work out of writing lesson plans, save you time, and help you provide your students with the best possible writing resources. First and foremost, I'm a teacher with 30 years of experience, so I understand the struggles teachers face on a daily basis. After being told that "we" (this was a royal "we" from administration) needed to get writing scores up, I started to reflect on my education and career. I realized that while I had taken numerous courses for reading but never a single one for writing. And there was the problem, Everyone assumes English/ELA teachers can teach writing because we can write. This was when I began developing the Write On with Jamie curriculum. These lessons break teaching writing down into step-by-step instructions and allow students to fully understand the writing process.
