Baseball5は2017年に世界野球ソフトボール連盟（WBSC）より野球・ソフトボール振興の一環として発表された新アーバンスポーツであり、2026年ダカールユースオリンピックの公式種目です。
日本国内でのBaseball5事業につきましては、一般財団法人全日本野球協会（BFJ）と公益財団法人日本ソフトボール協会（JSA）が合同で公式事業を進めてまいります。

Baseball 5 is a new urban sport announced in 2017 by the World Baseball Softball Federation (WBSC) as part of the promotion of baseball and softball, and is the official event of the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games.
The Baseball Federation of Japan (BFJ) and the Japan Softball Association (JSA) are jointly carry out the official Baseball5 business in Japan.
