John Belcher is a MIT emeritus professor of Physics. For many of my animations, I am using a software package called TEALsim, which is based on Java3D 1.5.2. You can find many deployed applications at the site https://web.mit.edu/8.02t/www/TEALsim/ . The software itself has a github site, https://github.com/jbelcher-mit/TEALsim . But it is a steep learning curve to use it, and it has only preliminary documentation. I hope to have a much better version of the documentation available by 9/2025. Other of the simulations use an animation technique called Dynamic Line Integral Convolution, originated by Dr. Andreas Sundquist. You can find an early version of this software at https://web.mit.edu/viz/soft/visualizations/DLIC/DLIC.htm . This software does not have a github site. I am planning to put one up in the next year or so.
