A little bit about this retired DJ. My passion for music started at an early age when my older brother would throw parties at home. I would borrow some of his LP's and started editing songs, mimicking what the DJ's on the radio would do. My friend, who's also a DJ, would get hired for home parties and a few of us would go and discover how much fun being a DJ was. Their equipment was very modest. We would use a couple of decks to mix; Mixing with tapes with no pitch was very Difficult, so we would beg the established DJ's that had access to vinyl records to record mixed tapes for us. By the early 80's, I don't remember how but I joined a few guys at a club where I learned to mix with belt driven turntables and soon became part of the rotating crew. By next year, I moved to a different city and joined a radio station crew where I worked as head of the Production team, at the same time I was a resident DJ of different Clubs of different styles.
