Hey, DT here, I've loved golf for 30+ years but haven't played for 20+ years, and am so excited to document my journey getting back on tee. I'm big on tech and gear, golf technology has come so far, professional-level tech is now available to common golfers like me, data-driven golf is a reality, and it's so cool! I grew up in the 80s, my high school golf coach custom-fit and made my golf clubs for me in the early 90s using component parts from Golfsmith magazine. I played a lot of golf growing up. I worked at a golf course, my high school golf team played a course for free, and friends worked at different golf courses - I literally played golf 7-days a week in high school. I got to be pretty good, low single-digit handicap, my lowest carded round was 76. I stopped playing golf in college, my vision deteriorated (I have an uncorrectable eye disease) to the point I could not see my ball flight. Yet in 2022, I'm making a comeback to golf!
