POCKETS (Prevention Of Childhood obesity: Knowledge Exchange and TranSlation) was hosted as part of the Association of the Study of Obesity on the island of Ireland (ASOI) Annual Conference on 4-5 May 2017.

Day 1 of ASOI 2017 focused on the prevention of childhood obesity (POCKETS), while day 2 focused on the treatment of childhood obesity. Day 1 was hosted by the Health Behaviour Change Research Group at NUI Galway, and the ESPRIT Research Group at University College Cork, in collaboration with the ASOI. It was kindly supported by the Irish Research Council New Foundations Scheme through funding awarded to Dr Karen Matvienko-Sikar (ESPRIT Research Group, DEPH, UCC) for COS-IF: Core Outcome Set for Infant Feeding, and Ms Marita Hennessy (HBCRG, NUI Galway) for POCKETS.
