The Independent Film Trust supports independent film in the UK, helping to amplify untold stories by championing underrepresented filmmakers. Our work includes film and visual arts training, professional film mentoring, industry research and advocacy to inspire a more representative film and media sector. We support initiatives that encourage interest in film production and help emerging film-makers to develop and express themselves. Our activities include the provision of training for the disadvantaged and scholarships for those who have shown talent but need monetary or other help. A diverse film industry makes better cinema.
